As you might recall, my short horror story “Sand” was accepted by The Mad Scientist Journal. It will appear on their website early next week, but the full copy of the collection it’s included in (which also contains stories not released for free on the site) can now be purchased as an ebook.

If you’re interested in “Sand” and the Autumn 2014 edition of the Mad Scientist Journal (just look at that wacky cover!), you can buy it from:

And of course, you can also add it on Goodreads.

“Sand” is a Lovecraftian horror story set at Death Valley. It makes use of an interesting phenomenon known as the “singing sands,” though with a darker twist here…

Eureka-dunesWhen Dr. Algernon P. Lewis went on vacation to Death Valley, he expected it to be a boring trip. Certainly nothing that would help him with his research into the mysterious Anaian civilization. Now, Algernon’s journal will help us piece together just what happened out there on the Eureka Dunes…

On December 8, the account of Algernon’s experience will be posted at The Mad Scientist Journal, under the name of “Sand,” and it will also be made a part of the Autumn 2014 collection.

See you on the dunes!
