Another piece of news we missed while focusing on spooky games came right at the end of October, a release date for The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster.
If you’ve forgotten the title, this is the newest game from the team that did The Liar Princess & the Blind Prince and The Cruel King & the Great Hero.
It’s set in a world where a magical disease turns people into picture books, and you need to explore these books to learn their stories and solve puzzles while searching for a way to save your sister from that fate.
I loved both of the team’s previous games, so I was hoping to get this one from the moment it was first announced for Japan. It sounds just as interesting (and potentially emotional).
Back in September, NIS America confirmed its localization, and at the end of October they announced that it will be out on May 13, 2027 for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC.
(There’s also a Limited Edition available, so I’ll probably get that.)
2027 already has a number of games I’m interested in, and May also includes Persona 4 Revival as well as God of War Laufey, which was recently delayed from its original February release date. For me, however, this one will probably take priority.
Are you interested in The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster?
