Last week, we discussed Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show plans in regards to the Capcom Spotlight to be held on September 16.
Since it’s a Capcom Spotlight rather than a Capcom Showcase, the chances of them announcing a new game are pretty slim.
However, while that’s the only event they’ve announced on their English site, the same isn’t true for Japan. Capcom also has a stage show with events that will be streamed on September 19, 20, and 21.
While most of these events are focused on a specific game, the September 20 lineup includes a more general event called “Capcom TV!!”
The description on the site only says that they’re going to discuss the Switch 2 version of Devil May Cry 5 and Monster Hunter Stories 3. However, Capcom’s tweet about this event also lists the Resident Evil games coming to the Switch 2 and… Ace Attorney.
I’m not sure what to make of this. Ace Attorney is the only thing listed that doesn’t specifically say it’s about a Switch 2 version, and there’s no new Ace Attorney game for them to discuss. It almost has to be something new, whether that’s a new game or something else related to the series.
Now, there is that other little matter… For this next part, I’ll be discussing a potential leak, so don’t read it if you’ve been avoiding leaks and don’t want to see it.
I’ll be a little disappointed if that turns out to be the only announcement, but either way it looks like TGS might have something in store for us Ace Attorney fans.
Do you think Capcom will announce a new Ace Attorney game at TGS?
