Back in the Nintendo Direct where Nintendo announced Xenoblade Genesis, they also announced Switch 2 upgrades for Xenoblade Chronicles 1, 2, and 3.
Each of them adds new things (the first game’s upgrade includes a racing mini-game, which was unexpected), and now the trailer for the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2 upgrade has been revealed.
The additions include new outfits for Pyra and Mythra, a new mode where you play as Blades, and a new Blade… who happens to be MOMO from Xenosaga.
This makes her the third Xenosaga character to exist as a Blade, since KOS-MOS and T-elos were in the base game.
Now, this probably doesn’t mean anything for Xenosaga, but who knows? I’ve been hoping for a Xenosaga remaster for a long time now, and seeing it get another representative in Xenoblade feels like a promising sign!
Additions like this aren’t enough for me to replay the games for the Switch 2 versions, but it’s nice to see the upgrades include some nice new content. What do you think of the upcoming Switch 2 upgrade for Xenoblade Chronicles 2?
