I hope those of you who began reading the previous episodes of The Book at Dernier have been enjoying it. Episode 3 is now live, and it’s time for things to get crazy. Crazier, that is. Little bits of insanity began to appear throughout the story before this, after all.

Speaking of insanity, I’ve noticed that I really like writing from the point of view of insane characters. I need to do more of it, because it’s so much fun!

Other than that, I don’t have much to say today. This is just a little update to keep you posted on the status of The Book at Dernier, especially since my wonderful writing residency is almost here, so I won’t be blogging then!

Finally, if you’re unfamiliar with The Book at Dernier, it is my serial horror novella published by the Red Penny Papers. It’s filled with cults, secrets, and–as this post might have indicated–insanity. If that sounds like a fun story to you, check it out!

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and I apologize for the blog being down over the holidays. I got a special holiday treat on Christmas Eve–the long-anticipated launch of my horror novella, The Book at Dernier. Episode 1 released on Christmas Eve, and Episode 2 will launch this Friday (tomorrow)! The remaining episodes will come out each Friday after that until the story is completed.

I love the cover. It’s so creepy and awesome. (It also reminds me of Silent Hill, and I love Silent Hill.)

I am very pleased to announce that sometime in February 2013, my serial The Book at Dernier will appear at The Red Penny Papers.

The Book at Dernier tells the story of Paul, a young scholar on a quest to uncover unknown mysteries of the past with his best friend, Harry. Their journey takes them to a small town called Dernier, which hides a dark secret. For Paul, it is the perfect opportunity…

But some secrets should remain hidden forever.

Although it suffered some delays, The Book at Dernier was released near the end of 2013.
