October is finished, this year’s Celebrating All Things Spooky contest winners have been contacted, and… there’s no NaNoWriMo this November.
Last year, I had already decided not to use the official site and did my own Personal WriMo instead, and this year the official NaNoWriMo isn’t even there as an option.
But that’s okay. I’ll just do a Personal WriMo and track it right here once again!
I also have it displayed in the header again, although… I’ll try to see if there’s a way to make the font more readable. At least the progress bar is there.
I’m off to a good start, with just over 6,000 words written at the time of posting this.
Last year I wrote short stories, but this year it’s time for another novel! I have an idea for a romantic mystery novel that I’ve begun work on, something a bit different from my usual stories. Will it hold up for a full 50,000 words? I certainly hope so!
Are you doing any sort of NaNoWriMo-esque challenge this November?

Nice progress! But yeah that black-on-black text is terrible xD
I am not doing a personal NaNo… first I need to get my laptop data back, and then maybe I can try to do an editing-focused month? But definitely not the full 50k words… feels weird, honestly, to not even be considering it as an option, but I’m also just really busy, even more so than in some past NaNo years! (though some of those years were also quite busy and I still managed, so maybe it’s just the laziness finally winning without the community to help keep me afloat…)
Anyway, best of luck!
Understandable. It does feel like it’s missing something without the community aspect, too. Still, an editing-focused month might be good!
