I remember when the 25th anniversary of Spyro the Dragon arrived, and everyone hoped a new game would be announced.
And I remember a few months later when a blurred purple screen got people spreading Spyro speculation once again.
In fact, there have probably been more times since then, all without a new Spyro game ever being announced.
But it’s time to get our hopes up once again, because fans discovered that a former Toys for Bob employee lists on his LinkedIn profile that while he was employed by Activision between 2022 and 2024, he worked on both Call of Duty and Spyro.
That suggests that something related to Spyro was in the works during that time span.
This has sparked new hope that we’ll actually get a new Spyro game announced. Is that our Christmas present? We’ll just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, I never played the remake of the original Spyro trilogy, but if a new game is announced, maybe I’ll finally check it out.
(Not that I’ve played the new Crash Bandicoot game yet, either… oops.)
Anyway, do you think we’re finally getting a new Spyro game?
