Capcom Showcase
WE WON!!!
Ahem. So, Capcom’s showcase started out by replaying the same Path of the Goddess trailer we saw yesterday, while also providing a few more details about it. Then they announced Mega Man X Dive Offline, which seems to be an offline version of the recently-discontinued mobile game.
(That filled me with new optimism, though, because it confirmed the showcase would include new announcements.)
They held a “Spotlight Corner” featuring Street Fighter 6 and a lot of tournament news, and then Resident Evil 4 VR. After that, Pragmata was finally shown again with a short trailer basically to announce a delay. Oof.
Then Shu Takumi introduced Ghost Trick, which has a demo available now. Ghost Trick got a significant chunk of time, which pleased me. Everyone, play Ghost Trick!
And then…
IT HAPPENED! Apollo Justice, Dual Destinies, and Spirit of Justice are being brought to all major platforms in early 2024 as the Apollo Justice Trilogy.
I’m so happy! Sure, Ace Attorney 7 would have been more exciting, but getting the other mainline games onto modern platforms is an important step toward bridging the gap! Now, whenever they do finally announce a new game, players will be able to play all the mainline games first.
After the Ace Attorney news, they talked about Capcom Town and other website stuff, showed more of Exoprimal, and then showed a new trailer for Dragon’s Dogma II… which might have been a cool trailer, except all of my thoughts were taken up by Ace Attorney by that point.
I’m so happy that games 4-6 will finally be available on modern platforms! Here’s hoping they get a physical release… and that this is only the start of more Ace Attorney news to come.
What did you think of the games shown in the Capcom Showcase?

I hope non-Ace Attorney people like this Showcase.
We gotta show CAPCOM that it’s okay to exist in times when Monster Hunter or Resident Evil (no offence) aren’t headlining things.
Unfortunately, I’ve seen a lot of comments (mainly from Monster Hunter and Resident Evil fans) saying the showcase was a disappointment and that it had “no new announcements.” Hopefully that’s not the general sentiment.
Even though it’s not new Ace Attorney, it’s great to see the second trilogy finally being put together! It’s about time! I just really really hope that “the complete collection” includes the DLC cases, which were two of my favorite cases in each game!
It was also cute seeing Shu Takumi introducing Ghost Trick with his practiced English 🙂
Yes! I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t include those two, since they were major cases. (Now, the Asinine Attorney episodes, on the other hand… I wouldn’t be surprised if those are dropped. They never even made it into the mobile version.)
Haha, yes, that was wonderful.
